NAMI Walks 2020

We’re planning on another big NAMI Walks! NAMI Walks 2020 will be held Saturday May 2nd at the Albuquerque Balloon Museum. This year we are celebrating 18 years of NAMIWalks, the nation’s largest series of mental health awareness and fundraising events that take place in communities across the country. We invite you to join us for this great event where, besides the walk, we will have lots of fun activities and food for the whole family.

NAMIWalks is a fun, family-friendly event and there is no cost to register. The time is NOW to start a team or join a team and help us do even better in 2020!

Here is a little video from last year’s NAMI Walk:

NAMI Walks 2019

A rousing success! NAMI Walks 2019 was held Saturday May 11th be at the Albuquerque Balloon Museum. The event was a rousing success and Senator Tom Udall kicked off the Walk at 8:45. Nancy Domenici was also in attendance. As of the day after the Walk, NAMI New Mexico was just shy of raising $120 Thousand towards a goal of $135 Thousand. But the fund raising doesn’t end with the walk. The closeout for this year is the end of June, so please, if you didn’t have a chance to attend the Walk, you can still click the button below and support the team of your choice!

There were hot air balloons, a climbing wall and even a car show with about 40 cars participating! Of course there were lots of tables from providers and partners in our community with loads of information about resources. Thanks to all who participated and volunteered to make this year’s walk a great success. Special thanks to Sharon Orchard, this year’sWalk Manager! Great job, Sharon!
