Family Support with Zoom

If you are a family member, friend or significant other of an individual living with a mental health condition, please join us for our On-Line version of the NAMI Family Support Group!

Family Support Group is a weekly support group for individuals 18 years and older who are family members/caregivers, or care about a loved one who is living with a mental health condition. NAMI Family Support Group is a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement and hope. NAMI Albuquerque is currently conducting meetings via ZOOM multiple times per week. NAMI Albuquerque normally conducts our free support groups in-person, but due to  the COVID-19, our facilitators have have to adapt!  We are now offering the Family Support Group via the Zoom Online program.  

Family Support Group Meetings are currently being conducted on Zoom on Tuesday Nights from 6-7:30PM but we will be adding additional days and times in the very near future (WATCH THIS SPACE). For more information, or to register, Please Click the button below.

This support group is made possible through the Training & Education grant, funded by the Bernallilo County Behavioral Health Initiative. Through this grant, NAMI New Mexico, in conjunction with NAMI Albuquerque, aims to increase behavioral health education and support programs to individuals living with a  mental health condition and their families within Bernallilo County.

Peer-to-Peer

STARTING JUN 6th!  By ZOOM – Online Learning! 

Registration for NAMI’s FREE Peer to Peer Education Course is now open.    Slots are filled on a first-come first-served basis.

Peer-to-Peer is a free 8-session recovery education course open to anyone 18 or older experiencing a mental health challenge, The course is designed to encourage growth, healing and recovery among participants. NAMI Albuquerque is pleased to offer this course free of charge.  This 8-session course will be conducted via Zoom in four consecutive Saturdays.  We will conduct one class in the morning (10AM – 12PM), then a two hour break for lunch and do a second class from 2PM-4PM.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is taught by trained leaders with a lived experience. This program includes activities, discussions and informative videos. However, as with all NAMI programs, it does not include recommendations for specific treatment approaches.

Start Date:  June 6th 2020 (2 classes per Saturday to be completed Jun 27th)
